About ME
Hi! My name is Katie Allsop and I am fifteen years old. I've been riding and racing bikes since virtually before I could walk, but only in the last few years realised that everything off-road is where my heart is. I've always raced XCO and cyclo-cross, but also started doing enduros and DH during lockdown when there was no mass-start racing. I love techy, rooty tracks the best, but am starting to master bigger jumps too! I am proud to ride for Specialized Youth Development Team.
I'm lucky enough to live in the Chiltern Hills in the UK, where there is lots of natural riding, but this year have enjoyed riding further afield, both racing and for fun. I have been lucky enough to have two trips to Morzine/Les Gets this year, and enjoyed racing my first iXS DH Cup in Aprica, Italy. Ard Rock was probably my favourite event this year. My goals for 2026 are to hopefully race some UCI EDR World Cups in Europe as I will be a Junior next year. I will be mixing up BNES rounds, XC Nationals and as many DH Nationals as I can fit in too!
Aside from cycling, I play football for a local U18 ladies team, and I run competitively on the track (3000m, 1500m and 800m) for Chiltern Harriers, and run cross-country for the Buckinghamshire county squad and Chiltern Harriers in the winter months. This year I learned to ski, and I'm hoping to learn to snowboard too.
I'm also one half of the infamous 'ROTOR Rexs'. But shhhh.....don't tell anyone! Watch out for us at races this season and come and say hi!
